Books and movies
Tomorrow is the beginning of a new era for me. A set of experiences that I have been working toward to obtain. The leadership program is starting tomorrow with Human Resources department. I will write about each department once I start working in them.
Friday was my official last day with my group and although I was sad for not to be working with my team mates any more but in a way I was ready to move on! They gave a me a nice card with all their best wishes and we took pictures. I started wrapping up the stuff I have to hand over and still some is left which I will do next week.
One of the accomplishments of this weekend so far was finally putting together our wedding album!! We still have to buy another album for our reception pictures taken here! But finally it got started thanks to pishi and the miserable weather yesterday!
I finished the two books that I borrowed from library and both were interesting. One of the books I read was the story of "Tahmineh" and the women who fell in love in Shahnameh. I enjoyed the book, specially that it was a while since I read a Persian book. The way it was written was very similar to the literature books that we used to study in school! The interesting revelation for me was that before reading this book, I always thought Rostam was a good guy and that he accidentally killed his son! At least that was my understanding of reading the poetry and by reading that book I realized that how amazing it is to read a book from two different observers in the story!
The other book I read, "I am single, lady", contained a few short stories that were okay but only one of them stuck by me.
At this time in my life, I am interested in the books that are written by Persian authors not the translated ones, as when I read a translated one, my mind keep translating it back to English!! Plus, I believe that the language a story is written with is suited for that language. When its translated, some of the feelings that wanted to be portrayed are missed.

Yesterday we watched two movies, first one was a 1995 movie called "A walking in the clouds". This is a remake of a romance movie that was made in 1942. A very nice movie to watch. The sceneries were breath taking and Keanu Reeves was great as always!

The second movie we watched was The terminal, a 2004, Steven Spielberg directed movie. Tom Hanks and Catherine Zeta Jones were great in this movie. A well done movie that is worth watching.
